Our Story
The story of our journey began in the year 2020. Viran Amarasena brought three of his friends together and kickstarted Calysma, in hopes of bringing more value and potential to each of their skill-sets in their own fields.
The crew took off with their first project in December 2020, and since then till now, new members have joined the family, growing higher on the foundation laid by the founding members Viran Amarasena, Dhanuja Siriwardhana, Shaluka Wijesinghe and Methsara Koswatte.
The crew branched out to gain better control over larger projects and as of now has two main departments dedicated for graphic designing and videography. Members of both these departments are experts in their respective fields of work and are essential parts of our family.
The Crew
The Calysma family is a collective assembly of graduates and undergraduates of many forms of engineering that possess an unrelenting passion for creativity and art. Each member has offered their services individually for many years and has gained valuable experience that laid the foundation for Calysma Digital Studios.

THE CALYSMA FAMILY
Born and raised in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Viran is a rapper / beatboxer / lyricist / producer and has been performing on stage since 2015. He is currently working on his own musical journey, creating music for local and international audiences and also has a keen interest towards cyber security, digital marketing and entrepreneurship. Viran took the initiative in bringing Calysma from a mere imagination to its' current state today and continues to explore and push the boundaries of the industry to raise Calysma to its peak.

Methsara Kosswatte
A wonderful visual artist and also a bassist off-duty, Methsara has been dabbling in the fields of video and cinematography since 2015, a year that gave birth to a vast number of creators around the world. Methsara became highly active in these fields after joining the Sri Lankan Institute of Information Technology in 2018 and with the mentoring of many pioneers of the field, and over the years he has transformed into an extremely talented, creative and well respected videographer. Currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in engineering, Methsara is looking forward to further researching in the fields of video and cinematography. In a nutshell, Methsara is one of, if not the quietest in the family, but a fun and inspiring human being none the less that excels at what he does.
Hailing from Gampaha, Uvindu is an illustrator / graphic designer / animator and has been with us since the very first days providing his services as an artist and encouraging us as a dear friend. An avid fan of astronomy / science / performing arts and animè, Uvindu is almost always there to help out those in need despite of his extremely busy schedule as a software engineering undergraduate. Always being there for the team, bringing the laughter and motivation to keep all of us together as one, Uvindu is an invaluable member of our family.

Being one of the most experienced members of the Calysma family, Denver is an extremely skilled and creative 3D designer and animator. He has been helping the team take major decisions since the beginning of our journey and those suggestions and advices have played a massive part in the succession of Calysma as a company. Denver excels in the fields of 3D modeling and 2D animation, and over the years he has built quite a reputation for his work among those in the field. In addition to these undeniably amazing skill set, Denver is also a singer, actor and voiceover-artist. Taking down tasks that pose significant workloads with a calm, swift and admirable approach, Denver is one of our most beloved and looked upon members, who guides us to a better position with each passing day.
Arjuna is one massive reason behind our graphic designing team’s rapid success over such a short time. Even at the smallest task, his determination and dedication aid us in our journey every single day. Currently an undergraduate in the field of software engineering, Arjuna has spent hours upon hours working in the fields of graphic designing and 3D modeling out of pure enjoyment. This consistent practice over the years has shaped and moulded him into an exemplary designer with amazing creativity, efficiency and a never ending hunger to push the boundaries of his work and himself to a higher state every day. An absolutely passionate Formula-1 fan when he’s not working on the next mind bending piece of work, Arjuna is undoubtedly one of the most fun and interesting individuals one could ever meet.

Keven Kodithuwakku
Living the better half of his life creating art behind lenses and capturing priceless moments from the most beautiful angles, Keven is a master photographer and videographer that has been active in the field for more than half a decade. His journey began as a budding mobile photographer armed with a smartphone against the world but as his journey unfolded he found himself handling events and functions, taking part as a photographer. Keven’s love for hip-hop music paved his way to videography with his first project being a hip-hop music video. As time went on Keven took part in countless events and functions, handling a massive number of projects and gaining invaluable experiences that sharpened him to the cutting-edge videographer and photographer he is today. It is his ultimate goal to become the number one colorist in Sri Lanka and by the way he looks at his field, anyone can see that it’s only a matter of time. According to Keven, this is a hobby, this is passion, this is not just a job. Our family is nowhere near complete without this amazing young artist.
Coming from Rajagiriya, Pumuditha is an absolutely wonderful illustrator and digital artist. His limitless interest in drawings and illustrations in his younger days played a major role in Pumuditha’s transformation from a young kid who liked to draw, to the brilliant digital artist he is today. A well known cricket fan and a highly skilled practitioner in Judo, Pumuditha is also a postgraduate in mechatronics engineering. Handling some of our major projects all by himself and carrying them from dust to perfection, Pumuditha is a highly energetic and optimistic individual that brings life to our family.

Simply one of the most encouraging and ambitious individuals one could ever meet, Shania is also from Kandy and has been with the team from the very beginning of Calysma.
Her bright and upbeat presence has been cheering up and encouraging us since the very first days. She aids the team with her expertise on finance and makes sure that Calysma stays within the lines of our own for our own betterment and reaches the goals in our journey of revolutionizing the role of a service provider. Beyond that she’s a software engineering undergraduate and a highly enthusiastic baker whenever she finds time for it. This particular cat and animè lover is an irreplaceable part of our family and her support and advice has helped us immensely, to become who we are today.
